We believe that God has promised to gather some people from every nation, tribe, and tongue to worship around His throne in the end. (Rev. 7:9) Based on current research, there are roughly 12,000 people groups in the world. Of those 12,000 people groups, 6,000 are considered Unreached People Groups (UPG’s). Out of those 6,000 UPG’s, 3,000 of them are Unengaged Unreached People Groups (UUPG’s). Basically, that means that billions of people are unreached (UPG) with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and currently millions are unengaged (UUPG) by a consistent missional witness. Our desire is to be led and empowered by the Holy Spirit to embrace these UPG’s with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Our directive is Acts 1: 8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
Locally we have several opportunities to witness and serve our community. We are greatly involved in the Laurens Baptist Association Baptist Center which offers food and clothing to those in need. We encourage our members to be involved in Celebrate Recovery. We are also highly involved in The Joy Clinic. This is free medical clinic that was started by a vision of our pastor. Plus, we have a day of service every November right before Thanksgiving. Each year, we feed 800+ homeless and less fortunate.
We are involved in state missions such as the Baptist Children’s Home and Disaster Relief. We take mission trips to locations within the United States such as working with Navajo Indians in New Mexico.
Dudley Baptist Church has two orphanages in Uganda and a church in The Dominican Republic. We continue to go year in and year out doing medical missions, construction, sports camps, and vacation Bible Schools.
Our goal is see at least 50% of our members involved in missions.
